Kámen Zbraslav, founded in 1994, is one of the biggest Czech aggregate producers, running several quarries, gravel sand quarries and rock quarries. The total annual production of Kámen Zbraslav is nearly seven million tons of aggregates, mainly used for the production of concrete and bituminous mixtures for asphalt. In 1997 Kámen decided to extend their businesses to production and transportation of readymix concrete. In the meantime, Kámen is running six readymix plants. The newest and most modern plant in Ostrava Prívoz was taken into operation last year, supplied completely by Merko, a leading Czech company who took over the responsibility to act as a one-stop-supplier for Kámen’s new plant.
