The pallet circulation is the logistical backbone of the concrete precast factory. It transports pallets from one workstation to the next. Longitudinal transport usually takes place via roller supports and friction wheels, whilst transverse transport is carried out by means of pallet trucks. A storage and retrieval machine or a stacking crane places the pallets in the curing chamber. The vibrating station, the turning device and the tilting table are normally also considered to be part of the circulation. The pallet circulation always comes into play when a pallet moves. Besides the control of movements, the administration of formwork and product information for the respective pallets is also one of the circulation controller’s tasks.
