In the last issue of CPI (2/2007), the history and the development of precast concrete in Australia were presented. A structure that is able to demonstrate the flexibility of a precast structure has been recently completed in Melbourne. The development of the Melbourne GPO needed to restore the heritage-listed structure to its former glory while developing it into a showcase for Melbourne’s best in dining, entertainment and shopping.
