The conservation of natural resources is one of the major ecological challenges and is a particular focus in concrete production. The aim is to increase the use of limestone powder or calcined clays as a clinker substitute to reduce CO2 emissions. To enable the efficient and precise production of various concrete mixes with this new binder, it is necessary to set up the concrete batching plant to meet the higher requirements. This report describes the sensor technology required to precisely record the humidity and temperature at various points in the process chains.
