Erlus AG is one of the leading manufacturers of roofing material and chimney systems in Germany. With around 570 employees, Erlus produces exclusively in Germany and is one of the largest companies in this industry. Based in Neufahrn in Lower Bavaria, the company has a history of approx. 180 years and benefits from a wealth of experience in the processing of ceramic building materials. In the same region, in Ergoldsbach – the place from which Ergoldsbach roof tiles derive their name - there is one more factory. A third production facility is located in Teistungen in Thuringia, another region with a long tradition in the ceramic industry. As the mixing plant for the production of concrete for the manufacture of chimney elements at the Ergoldsbach plant was no more up-to-date, the decision was made to invest into new machine technology from Wiggert & Co. GmbH in Karlsruhe in order to be prepared for future challenges in terms of concrete quality.
