What happens when a waterway blocks the path to a new homesite? You precast a full-scale bridge onsite. Chad Caldwell, owner of Piedmont Paving, Inc. and Georgia Concrete & Precast, LLC needed this bridge to hold up to thousands of yards worth of loaded concrete trucks passing over during construction of his home. The concrete delivered over this bridge was used for the completion of the cast-in-place walls, slab on ground foundations, composite-metal decks, and concrete driveway applications. Cast in place, were the deck and approach, while the precast grinders and wall parapets were set in place by crane; only the abutments were constructed onsite.
