The Schwing Group, one of the world’s leading system providers for concrete construction machinery in the premium sector and parent company of Stetter GmbH, and the Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group (‘XCMG’), the world’s seventh-largest and in China also a leading manufacturer of construction machinery, are planning a strategic partnership. XCMG intends to take a majority holding in Schwing. Under the leadership of Managing Director Gerhard Schwing, the traditional German company will supplement XCMG’s product range in the premium segment as well as the worldwide production, service and sales network outside China. The Schwing management will continue to act independently from Herne in future.
