On June 21-22, VeronaFiere welcomed more than 300 entrepreneurs coming from all over the world from the ready-mixed concrete industry, to attend the 16th International Ermco Congress this year. “The construction sector is one of the hardest hit by the economic crisis. In four years, shrinking demand - especially for new buildings - and the falling public investments in infrastructures have seriously penalized the construction industry." These words of the President of Confindustria, Giorgio Squinzi, during the opening session of the congress were guidelining several of the presentations that followed during the two day congress. However, besides discussing the difficulties the readymix concrete industry is facing recently, also solutions and strategies for a better future were presented.
