Franz Carl Nüdling Basaltwerke GmbH + Co KG (FCN) is a medium-sized, family-owned company with over 130 years of tradition in the production of natural stone and concrete products. With around 350 employees at nine locations in Hesse and Thuringia, FCN focuses on sustainability, regionality and the highest quality - values that are also shared by Rekers GmbH Maschinen- und Anlagenbau, a family-owned company headquartered in Spelle. During the modernization of the palisade production at the Fambach site, a particular challenge emerged: the proven palisade production machine with pallet-ring handling from Schlüsselbauer Technology was to be updated with an optimized hydraulic system and new control technology, while at the same time the palisade handling had to be renewed and optimized. The aim was to improve the ergonomics for the machine operators and to make the processes more efficient using modern automation and visualization technology. Rekers was chosen as the technology partner for this challenging task. Rekers not only supplied the new control solution but also adapted the handling system to the current production requirements. The result is an intuitive operation, increased process safety, and a future-proof production concept.
