The 3rd International Symposium on UHPC (ultra-high performance concrete) took place under the name of HiPerMat 2012 from 7 – 9 March in Kassel, Germany. The event was organised by the departments of solid construction and construction materials and construction chemistry from the University of Kassel. 260 scientists, engineers, users and commercial exhibitors came together from 28 countries to present the latest findings from research and to exchange ideas about UHPC and nanotechnology in the construction industry.
