Aftec has developed a new liner which alternates rows of two textural designs: split face block and coral stone. By combining these two textures on one form liner, precasters enjoy two significant solutions to common concerns. Each of the two textures eliminates the need for patching minor imperfections caused by air bubbles which sometimes occurs during the casting process. Split face block is characterized by its rough, deep relief surfaces; coral stone texture features a relatively smooth, travertine-like surface, but features pebble-sized crevices and voids throughout its surface. Most “bug holes” or slight imperfections in the finished piece only serve to enhance the intentional indentations produced by the textured form liners.
