At the trade fair Bau 2023 in Munich, the innovative steel fibre with the product name Stabils will for the first time be presented to the industry. Due to the considerable CO2 footprint of reinforced concrete, approaches aiming at its optimization are currently in the focus of the construction industry. The positive properties of the new steel fibre include high tensile strength, homogeneous fibre distribution in reinforced concrete, as well as good workability of the concrete produced with it. With these attributes, the fibres enable production and application of significantly slimmer components, compared to conventional construction methods, and score points for requiring less concrete and thus reducing CO2 emissions considerably.
