A host of new companies leveraging technologies that use CO2 mineralization have emerged in recent years, allowing concrete makers to lower their carbon footprint by pumping CO2 back into their products as they are being manufactured to give them additional strength. While some of these solutions lower the amount of cement used in making concrete, one company has found a way to eliminate the need for cement in precast production entirely.
