Imko has further advanced its handheld probe. It can now determine the water-cement ratio of concrete on site even more rapidly. The Sono-WZ is one of the success stories from Imko GmbH in Ettlingen, Germany, and was awarded the Innovation Prize at bauma in 2016. The company, a leader in technology forming an independent unit within Endress + Hauser since 2017, had already significantly improved accuracy two years ago by employing a more advanced assembly unit in the probe. This new semiconductor chip led to a better coupling and decoupling of the high-frequency measurement signal, which immediately generated sharper measurement results in marginal areas.
