Prestressed concrete turnout sleepers are characterised by a very high number of variants. Customers of these products expect increasingly shorter lead times after ordering, while at the same time constantly increasing the quality requirements. In order to make both possible, PCM Rail.One AG has now for the first time commissioned a plant in which the Industry 4.0 approach has been applied. This plant was opened in November 2019 in Schwandorf, Bavaria. The circulation plant was mainly implemented by the company Weckenmann Anlagentechnik GmbH & Co KG.
