The first part of this article, published in issue 4/2018 of CPI, dealt with the principles of the evaluation of efflorescence on paved surfaces, differentiation between efflorescence and discolourations, the possible verification methods and the effects on the technical properties of the products. The second part of this article focuses specifically on the difference between efflorescence typical of the building material and preventable efflorescence, the possible causes of emergence of efflorescence on products in paved surfaces, liability and possible defect elimination measures.
