Composite precast – in-situ construction usually includes casting an overlay to a precast element on site. One of the aspects to consider is the cracking of the overlay when shrinkage cracking is restrained. To develop practical guidelines for minimizing cracking, the influence of seven practical curing regimes on restrained shrinkage cracking of bonded concrete overlays was investigated [1].
