In general, concrete processing with diamond tools is quite a common job today. However, there are many kinds of miscellaneous concrete applications and production methods so far known. One of them is hollow core concrete, a special product precast in factories nearly all over the world. The advantage of this technology consists in the fact that it saves material due to the higher load capacity of the prestressed panels and ensures shorter production times for lightweight structures. This article is intended to provide some information on the application of diamond cutting blades with special consideration of the raw materials and additives used. Also, it will highlight some ideas to protect manpower against cutting noises. Therefore, the article has been subdivided into two sections: 1. Life of cutting tools and cutting speed in relation to aggregate composites. 2. Noise emission of cutting processes caused by concrete hardness and cutting blade body design.
