The DIBt-approved ThermoPin® is a shear connector made of glass fibre reinforced plastic for the connection of the exterior and load bearing shells of core-insulated walls. With a thermal conductivity coefficient of <0.5 W/m·K, the ThermoPin is a very good thermal decoupler. The elimination of the shear connector as a material-related thermal bridge improves the heat storage behaviour and living room climate and saves heating costs at the same time.
