...Development 2015-2019, ASEAN Economic Community and the preparation of Globalization 2020 Infrastructure developments hold a pivotal role in economic growth. The projected infrastructure investment indicated in the National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN) III 2014-2019 as announced by the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) is Rp 5.457 trillion. This remarkable figure, which corresponds to almost two and a half times that of RPJMN 2009 - 2014, has been deemed a must in order to achieve the objectives of the Indonesia National Long Term Development Plan (RPJPN) in 2025, which aims to bridge the gap with middle-income countries. The infrastructure program is therefore a top priority for the Indonesian government among the national develop- ment schemes. The Government's commitment was first evidenced yesteryear by the transfer of the budget for fuel subsidy into the infra- structure sector starting in the 2015 fiscal year.
