To preserve the global climate the insulation standards worldwide are sharpening the U-value [w/m2k] for the walls and foundation in hous- es. The result of this is thicker walls with better insulation values. The insulation materials are not just materials as lightweight aggregate now but also insulation materials like EPS. The demand for having these materials in the blocks and through the block production process has decreased the productivity due to volume and increased cycle time.
