Concrete mixing systems have to be regularly upgraded and modernised so that they can operate productively and thus remain competitive. The best results are attained when ongoing operations are interrupted as little as possible for the modernisation work. Dyckerhoff Beton GmbH & Co. KG with its headquarters in Wiesbaden, Germany, needed to renovate the old aggregate storage system including batching and weighing units at its concrete mixing plant in Karlsruhe. The other system components were not to be renewed and were to continue in use.
