The decision-makers at the Drössler Group in Siegen, Germany decided in 2014 that – entirely in keeping with the progressive corporate pol- icy – an update of the shuttering technologies should take place within the context of a plant extension. Initially the future requirements for the new shuttering technologies had to be defined. In view of the company’s 80-year history, which vouches for sustainable and success- fully proven process routines, as well as its own research in the field of high-performance concrete materials, the search for technologies that could meet its own quality standards became a challenge for the company.
