Photocatalytically active concrete surfaces

From laboratory measurement to practical application

HelioClean - this is the name given to a research project sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, BMBF), which has set itself the goal of gaining fundamental new insights into the "use of nanotechnologically functionalized building materials for solar photocatalytic air and surface cleaning". One year after completion of the project, Dyckerhoff AG invited experts from the fields of science and technology as well as building material producers and public sector contractors to an interview in Wiesbaden. There they discussed the prospects of pollutant reduction by means of photocatalytically active concrete surfaces.
