The company Peikko Spain, subsidiary of the Peikko Group, a global leader in fastening technology for concrete structures, has collaborated in the design and construction of the world’s biggest and innovative pulp mill (1.3 million tons of pulp per year) at Punta Pereira, in the region of Colonia, Uruguay. The total investment is estimated to be approximately 1.5 billion euros, and it is expected to be operational in 2013. This huge project has been developed directly from the Peikko office in Spain. Peikko Spain has offered its technical support in the design of the structural connections, has planned the production and deliveries of its products to the construction site and has provided personal on-site assistance to all the companies involved.
