Indian power plant produces fly ash blocks on a new large steel pallet system

In the town of Raigarh in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh, the private company Jindal Steel and Power operates a number of steelworks and coal-fired power plants. The company, with an annual turnover in 2012 of more than US-$ 4 billion, is part of the Jindal Group and is now the third largest steel producer in India. Alongside steelmaking, energy production by means of coal and hydroelectric power plants is ano-ther branch of the corporate empire. The current capacity of 1,400 MW will be expanded over the next 10 years to 15,000 MW. The raw materials for the steel and energy production are taken from the company’s own mines.
