The Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagen-bau [German Plant and Machinery Association] (VDMA) has now opened a representative office in Beijing. The office will serve to further develop the good economic relations that already exist between Germany and China. Gudrun Seitz is taking over the management of the office. For the past five years she has been managing the International Business Relations Department of the German Industry and Commerce Represen-tative Office in Beijing and has lived in China for 20 years.
