School building with concrete façade made from coloured glass elements in The Hague

Mondriaan’s Palette

A new, very special school building came into being just a while ago in The Hague, the Netherlands. An impressive building complex, up to 5 storeys in height, with a cascade-like façade made out of geometrically arranged white concrete frames has been constructed for the Mondriaan (ROC) regional vocational training centre. The frames enclose quadratic windows and coloured glass elements created in the five preferred primary colours of Dutch painter Piet Mondriaan.
