The international concrete research community has developed an excellent network for joint research and development work. The key for successful implementation of innovative concrete technology is the communication between researchers and practitioners. In a series of 3 papers, CPI introduces the most influential international research organisations and gives an overview on latest issues and developments in concrete technology. Part 3 of the series concerns the activities of fib, the International Federation for Structural Concrete (fib – fedération internationale du béton). In the wide range of fib activities, those most interesting for the concrete producing industry are discussed.
