The new quality guidelines of the European Union EN 1916 for pipes and fittings as well as the EN 1917 for manholes and inspection chambers made of concrete, reinforced concrete and steel fibre reinforced concrete plus the supplementing national standards present a great challenge. Adherence to the test provisions makes it necessary to perform a large amount of testing and, in some cases, also requires the use of new technical equipment for their implementation. A new vertex pressure testing press with special features has been developed.
