Splitting – Bushhammering – Antiquing, the ideal processing sequence for pavingand masonry blocks

Schindler Steinbearbeitungsmaschinen und Anlagentechnik GmbH, 93057 Regensburg, Germany

Within the design of gardens and landscaped areas, precast concrete block products – which because of the methods used in their manufacture originally have a smooth and consistent surface texture – do not always fit in harmoniously with natural surroundings. However, additional treatment can give them the natural and lively appearance which is essential for less formal garden concepts. Within this process, the uniformity of the product must be broken up in the true sense of the word in order to achieve individual forms and colour effects. Three types of treatment are particularly suitable and these are described below, using the example of processing machines from Schindler.
