Punch-through resistances of slabs without punchthrough reinforcement are assessed differently according to DIN 1045-1 and ÖNORM B 4700. If the maximum resistances of approved punchthrough systems are related to the basic value of the respective standard, with levels which are the same overall, different increasing factors result. This must also be taken into consideration when filigree punch-through reinforcement (FDB) is used.
