Hermann Rudolph, president of the BDB (Federal Association of the German Concrete and Precast Concrete Industry) spoke at the general meeting in Dresden, Germany on 19th November. He appealed to all businesses to strengthen the work of the association at the federal level by participating as members of the regional associations and specialist organisations. He stressed that this was equally valid for the work in the top-level German and European organisations, whose activities were introduced by Dr. Gernot Schaefer, President of the Bundesverbandes Baustoffe – Steine und Erden e.V., (Federal Association of Building Materials – Stones and Earths).
