Machining centre for stirrup reinforcement

Pedax Bitburg Maschinenbau GmbH, 54634 Bitburg, Germany

In the past it was usual to cut a steel bar to length, and then to bend it into stirrups manually on a table bending machine. The first automatic stirrup bending machines came onto the market at the end of the 1970s. These made it much simpler to bend stirrups, resulting in significantly higher productivity and greater profitability. With modern machining centres for reinforcing steel it is possible to use a range of programs to process steel from the coil continuously, quickly, reliably and without significant interruption, and to manufacture any desired bent shapes.
