The triple-layer steel-reinforced concrete panel is a high-quality product which has been used many times as the outer wall element of high-rise and industrial buildings. The advantages of this sandwich design are that it is weather resistant, ageing resistant and can be produced in an almost unlimited range of shapes. Thermal insulation requirements have been more stringent for some years now, even for the outer wall panels of buildings. Using improved thermal insulation systems and non-conductive connectors can almost eradicate cold bridges between the outer and inner layers of a triple-layer outer wall panel.
