From time immemorial, processing stone has placed great demands on the machines employed. Yet, at the same time, more and more (interior) architects find the use of natural stone pleasing, which, in turn, foments interest in suitable processing methods. Once again this year at the 42nd Marmomacc in Verona, 1,500 exhibitors from 50 countries will display their answers to every aspect of stone. With the cry for still more flexible processing, cleaner cutting edges and, increasingly, for random contours, waterjet cutting technology is steadily gaining in importance.
