The Precast/Prestressed industry in Mexico requires changes to be made to its traditional production process; it needs a special type of concrete that will help enable faster placement without vibration, to eliminate steam curing and obtain finishing operations with the required quality, and thus improving efficiency and increasing productivity. SCC has therefore been identified as a feasible option to use as a substitution of conventional concrete. Various structural precast and prestressed elements require compressive strengths at 28 days of 34 MPa. The SCC technology is optimized to get eighty percent of compressive strength at different ages; for example 12, 14, 16 hours with stability and flowability according to different applications.
