At present, increasing interest on the part of architects and planners in the use of textile-reinforced concrete as a construction material can be observed. The use of delicate, self-supporting curtain walls currently represents the state of the art. Current investigations are also evaluating potentials for lightweight load-bearing structures. The models required for an accurate dimensioning of the structural components are the subject of research work in Spe-cial Research Area 532 at the RWTH Aachen [1]. A summary of essential research results is given in [2] and their implementation in initial application projects is presented below.
