The I-35W bridge reconstruction, spanning the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is the latest high-profile infrastructure project to invest in a Shuttlelift SL 300 gantry crane. The original bridge was built in 1967. It was expected to last fifty years and carry 66,000 vehicles per day. However, by 2004, an estimated 140,000 vehicles were crossing the bridge, daily.
