Multicolour optical characteristics are called by many names. In essence, it is invariably a matter of adding various coloured concretes – already mixed – into a paver / block mould. In particular, black/red tones, brown hue variations, or shades of autumn leaves have become widely disseminated and known. In the last few years, there has been a stronger trend towards multicolour blends which place greater demands on techniques for multicolour generation. Recent trends voice a desire for more than 3 colours to be present in one block. In fact, 6 colours are nowadays “de rigueur”.
