MiQuaTester – development of a measuring systemfor online quality assurance for the preparation of

Maschinenfabrik Gustav Eirich GmbH & Co KG, 74736 Hardheim, Germany

In the course of certification according to DIN EN ISO 9000, the companies were prompted to undertake systematic quality management, whereby the entire process chain must be taken into account. For the processing of concrete mixtures, the process chain involves the most varied processing steps, in which the mixing process for the homogenisation of the raw materials used plays a central role. The preparation result is characterised by the mixture qualities, meaning the degree of blending of the product property, but also by product-characteristic parameters such as adhesiveness, flow and filling behaviour, etc. Up to now there was not really an industrially compatible online measuring system that makes it possible to already reliably and quickly characterise a mixture during / immediately following preparation. Quality testing currently usually takes place on the basis of the experience of one or more employees who estimate the condition through the manual removal and tactile examination of the sample. Because this type of quality assurance is very dependent upon the individual person and his experience and also provides no measurement values, it is not suited for reproducible quality assurance.
