Last 21st October was held in Lisbon the International Seminar on Precast Concrete Structures (PCS2010). The theme of this seminar was "Precast Structures in the World" and its aim was to disseminate knowledge concerning new developments in design and production of precast concrete structures in the world. The International Seminar on Precast Concrete Structures was a joint organization of the FIB Portuguese Group (GPBE), the Portuguese Association of Engineers (Ordem dos Engenheiros), the Portuguese Association of Precasters (ANIPB) and the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and it is within the work of the Commission 6 (Prefabrication) of the Fédération Internationale du Béton (fib). The speakers were Prof. Marco Menegotto (Italy), chairman of Comission 6, Arnold Van Acker (Belgium), Barry Crisp (Australia), Spyros Tsoukanta (Greece), Sthaladipti Saha (India) and Válter Lúcio and Carlos Chastre (Portugal), members of the fib Commission 6, José Barros Viegas and Filipe Saraiva represented the Portuguese Association of Precasters (ANIPB), Jason Krhon (USA) on behalf of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) and Stefano Pampanin from the University of Canterbury (New Zealand).
