Following its merger with the Entsorga, the IFAT has celebrated a successful premiere and established itself as one of the world’s leading trade fairs for the environmental technology industry. This is shown on the one hand by the strong international response on the part of the visitors, whose share has risen from 33 to 40 per cent. On the other hand the internationality of the exhibitors has also grown, from 32 to 37 per cent. A total of 2,730 exhibitors from 49 countries (2008: 2,605 exhibitors from 41 countries) presented their products, innovations and services on an area of approximately 200,000 square metres (2008: 192,000 square metres) from 13 to 17 September 2010 in Munich.
