This publication discusses practical applications of ultra-high-performance fiber reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) in Colombia, using examples from the past ten years. Investigations into mix designs have resulted in more economical and environmentally friendly material compositions with low cement content and excellent mechanical and durability properties. The practical applications using locally patented mix designs have further demonstrated the viability of UHPFRC in the construction of pedestrian bridges, urban furniture and overlays.
