The Indonesian Government has prioritized infrastructure development in order to drive an acceleration of national economic growth. It has focussed on several major infrastructure projects such as dams, toll roads, bridges, railways - including mass rapid transportation systems (MRT), light rail transit systems (LRT) and commuter lines - and an ongoing program of constructing one million house per year. From the pipeline of 265 projects, 26 have been completed since the program started in 2016 at a cost of $3.4 billion, including $976 million on six projects finished last year, and there are a further 145 under construction including energy and transportation sector.
