The Metro network in the city of Santiago is the second largest extension in Latin America with 142 km of extension and 136 stations. During the construction work of 4 stations (Cardenal Caro, Vivaceta, Conchalí and Plaza Chacabuco), the engineers increased the use of prefabricated concrete parts thanks to the incorporation of innovative construction methodologies in various stages of the project as reinforced concrete roof beams and prestressed beamslab between reinforced concrete floors, architectural walls and reinforced concrete tiles.
