Facing brick shells: reducing thermal bridges by up to 70 %

Jordahl GmbH, 12057 Berlin, Germany

If buildings are to be provided with a brick facing, the underpinning of the facing brick shell must be statically calculated in order to safely introduce the occurring loads into the building envelope. Facing brackets are a tried-and-tested means of doing this. Facing brick shell underpinnings - like all other penetrations of the thermal insulation - represent structural thermal bridges. Jordahl GmbH is now countering this effect with its thermally optimised and building-authority-approved JVAeco+ facing bracket.
