Large-scale changes have taken place at the Röser concrete plant in Obersontheim. Following the commissioning of a new cage welding machine from Progress one year ago (see CPI 2/2012), things really started to move in the subsequent months. The complete pipe production facility was rebuilt and equipped with new, state-of-the-art plant equipment. The two existing pipe-making machines were removed and a new A-60 concrete pipe machine from Besser was installed. This new plant with bi-directional packerhead pipe machine was built in America and adapted to metric sizes. Röser’s wishes were also accounted for in the plant concept, so that today Röser can produce the wide range of concrete pipes for which two plants were previously necessary. The Besser A-60 was installed over the winter of 2012/2013 and was put into operation in February. The managing director of Siegfried Röser GmbH + Co. KG, Mr. Wilfried Röser, who is the second generation of the family to head the company, was immediately convinced by the quality of the manufactured pipes.
