The international concrete industry currently experiences a time of major changes in codes and specifications and the general trend follows an internationalization of standards for concrete structures. In a series of 3 consecutive papers, CPI discusses these developments. Part 2 discusses general issues concerning the new Eurocode 2, including new rules for material specification, concrete durability, and structural design. Part 3, to be published in CPI 5/07, will discuss the fib model code.
