Wing floors for concrete core activation

Techmart International Ltd., Kill, Naas, Co. Kildare, Irland

Geothermal energy is found in the form of heat beneath the solid surface of the planet. In most parts of Europe, no frost is encountered the whole year round at a depth of 1.5 m. At a depth of 10 m, we have a constant temperature of approx. 10°C in any season and that typically increases by 3°C with every 100 m of depth. The geothermal heat is brought to a temperature suitable for heating purposes by a heat pump. In most cases, it is possible to obtain 50% of required heat from the ground, thereby emitting 50% less CO2 than a conventional oil heating system. Concrete core activation is a heating and cooling system based on simple physical principles to create a low cost process. Concrete has a large heat storage capacity and water is a good heat conductor.
